Abstract

The emergence of disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and the Internet of Things (IoT) has driven significant changes in the world of organizations and businesses. This research aims to analyze the role of adaptive leadership in responding to the challenges and opportunities posed by technological disruption. Using a qualitative approach and case study method, data was collected through in-depth interviews with several organizational leaders from various industry sectors. The results showed that adaptive leaders have characteristics of being flexible, proactive, open to learning, and able to build effective communication and collaboration. Adaptive leadership contributes to increasing organizational resilience, accelerating digital transformation, and employee engagement. However, its implementation faces challenges in the form of cultural resistance, limited resources, and sustainability of change. Managerial implications include developing leadership competencies, organizational learning strategies, strengthening the role of HR, and transparent communication. This research confirms the importance of adaptive leadership as a key strategy in facing the evolving era of disruption.
