Author Guidelines

Authors submitting to SIMBA: Sistem, Informasi, Manajemen, dan Bisnis Adaptif are required to follow the guidelines below to ensure consistency and quality in the review and publication process. The journal accepts original research articles, case studies, and conceptual papers within the fields of systems, information, management, and adaptive business practices.

1. General Requirements

  • The manuscript must be original, has not been published previously, and is not under review by any other journal.

  • Articles must be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia using academic language and proper grammar.

  • All submissions will go through a double-blind peer review process to ensure fairness and academic integrity.

  • Authors are responsible for ensuring the ethical conduct of the research and must comply with the journal’s publication ethics policy.

2. Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be organized in the following order:

  1. Title (Clear, concise, and accurately reflecting the content).

  2. Author(s) and Affiliation(s) (Full name, institution, and email address of each author).

  3. Abstract (150–250 words summarizing the purpose, methods, results, and conclusions).

  4. Keywords (3 to 5 relevant keywords).

  5. Introduction (Background, research problem, and objectives of the study).

  6. Methodology (Description of research design, instruments, data collection, and analysis techniques).

  7. Results and Discussion (Presentation of findings supported by data, followed by interpretation and discussion).

  8. Conclusion (Summary of key findings, implications, and possible recommendations).

  9. References (Use APA Style (latest edition) and ensure all cited sources are included).

3. Formatting Guidelines

  • Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format.

  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt.

  • Line Spacing: 1.15

  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides.

  • Length: Between 4,000 and 7,000 words, excluding references.

  • Tables and Figures: Numbered, titled clearly, and placed within the text. Sources must be cited if adapted.

4. Citations and References

  • All in-text citations and reference lists must follow the APA citation style.

  • Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.

5. Submission Process

  • Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal's Open Journal System (OJS).

  • Authors are required to register and log in before submission.

  • A brief cover letter explaining the contribution and relevance of the manuscript to the journal's scope is encouraged.

6. Plagiarism Policy

  • All submitted papers will be checked using plagiarism detection software.

  • Manuscripts with a similarity index above 25% may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected outright.

7. Copyright and Licensing

  • Authors retain copyright and grant SIMBA the right of first publication.

  • Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).
